Dowsing Rods

Dowsing rods can help locate groundwater sources, buried metals, ores, gemstones, oil, grave sites, petroleum deposits, buried objects, and Ley lines without using scientific or electronic equipment.  The art of dowsing or divining has been around for centuries.  There is no accepted scientific rationale behind dowsing or measurable scientific evidence to support it.  There is a reason for this.  No scientific apparatus today can measure what a person using dowsing rods is subconsciously sensing.

Dowsing rods have been around for centuries in one form or another.  Let us review a little history about dowsing rods. In the past, the most common dowsing rod was a Y-shaped branch from a tree or bush. Dowsers often prefer branches from particular trees, and some prefer freshly cut branches. In the United States, dowsers prefer the branches of witch-hazel, willow, or peach trees. The two ends on the forked side of the Y-shaped branch are held in each hand, with the stem of the “Y” pointing straight ahead. The dowser holds the branches palms down. The dowser then strolls over an area where he suspects the underground minerals or water may be, and the dowsing rod dips inclines downward, or twitches when it is over the target.

So, how does dowsing work?  As mentioned in the Illusion of Reality, all living and nonliving things in the universe are connected through quantum intelligence (QI). All living and nonliving things are attuned and radiate a unique spectrum of quantum vibrations. Every substance has a unique quantum vibration field based on its chemical composition.  This quantum vibration field is not detectable by any ordinary scientific means, but the human subconscious mind can sense it.  OK, what does all this have to do with dowsing and dowsing rods?

The modern-day dowsing rod is a sensitive indicator of involuntary subconscious muscle movement. So, how does one go about dowsing? First, you must set your intention or objective, attuning your subconscious mind to the substance. For example, let us assume you are dowsing for a substantial underground water reservoir.  The underground water radiates its quantum vibrations up through the Earth relative to the amount of water and its expanse.  As you begin dowsing, you consciously zero the rods (both rods pointing away from you and parallel to each other and the ground) and begin walking the area. At the same time, you imagine or visualize this underground reservoir of water.  As you approach the area over the water, your subconscious mind begins sensing the water’s quantum field, and subconscious muscle movement begins to rotate the top of your hands toward each other, causing the rods to begin crossing.  The maximum deflection of the rods should occur directly above the highest water concentration.  Most individuals could be successful at dowsing for water since this is most likely a hardwired survival instinct in humans and animals that depend on water.

In closing, dowsing rods made of a nonmagnetic material such as copper or brass rod eliminates any false indications from distortions in the Earth’s magnetic field.  For maximum sensitivity, the bend in the rods should be at an angle of 90 degrees, and the pointer and handle sections must be perfectly straight.  They must be able to rotate freely in your hands.  Dowsing rods can be a useful paranormal investigating tool for communicating with spirits or finding something buried in the ground.
